Our Rector awarded as Honorary Professor at BUCT, in China

In the first days of December Prof. Dr. Torma András, the rector of the University of Miskolc, and the two directors of the Confucius Institute (Prof. Liu Jie and Dr. Kuttor Dániel) took a visit in China. The members of the delegation participated in several events in Beijing and in Xian as well. Our university had the chance to introduce itself in the President Conference organized at the BUCT (Beijing University of Chemical Technology). There, apart from the Chinese partner, university representatives gathered from 16 countries all over the world. During the stay in Beijing, two scientific lectures were held in the topics of polity and in comparative economics. Afterwards, a corporate Session started where discussions occurred about the Confucius institutes.

The two sides strengthened the bond between each other, and signed a symbolic declaration.
 
Following that, Prof. Tan Tianwei the President of BUCT awarded Prof. Dr. Torma András with a honorary professor title, as well as Dr. Kuttor Dániel with a honorary tutor title.
 
The Chinese program was officially finished by the Global Meeting of the Confucius Institutes in Xian. The event was opened by the Vice-President of the People's Republic of China, by Liu Yandong. More than 500, worldwide operating Confucius Institutes represented themselves there.
