Description, objectives and fields of researches of RC/RW: Global changes in the first decade in the 21th century have created special environmental conditions challenging both large corporations and SMEs. Globalization of money-, goods- and labor markets, information technology and its new applications put it in the limelight that which version of the strategy and what kind of related business solutions could lead to long-term corporate success. The objective of the research are to give up-to-date answers to the above questions; to grow the theoretical and practical knowledge base resulting from the internal development of this discipline and to summarize the practical experiences to create new knowledge of the best quality in this field.

Description, objectives and fields of researches of RC/RW: We are dealing with both the theoretical and practical aspects of organizational researches. We analyze the issues related to the measurability and comparability of organizational features.  We are modelling organizational competencies as well as organizational and individual potentials and testing their fitness. We place emphasis on the measurement issues at organizational, team and individual level and on how to integrate the results into a management system. One of the research areas of managing individual competencies is measuring and developing competencies of students in the secondary and tertiary education. We pay attention to analyzing personality traits to support personal development by creating new models of coaching activity.

Description, objectives and fields of researches of RC/RW:  We are dealing with innovation management including modelling diffusion processes of new products, developing innovation strategies and technology roadmaping. As far as product design, modelling and testing concerned, various 3D scanning and printing techniques make it possible to use Rapid Prototyping devices on a larger scale. In the center of production management researches we may find methodological developments related to computer-aided production management systems (Kanban, JIT, TPS, TPM), as well as process modelling and simulations of production systems. New, strong research aspect in this field is the application development and educational work concerning integrated business planning systems, especially to SAP. As far as knowledge management concerned, our research is strongly focused on knowledge mapping, developing and improving corporate adaptations of knowledge management methodologies and their supporting informatics applications. Going beyond the technocratic approach to knowledge management, we prioritize a holistic concept in which personal knowledge, values, attitudes and way of thinking are also analyzed.

Description, objectives and fields of researches of RC/RW: Our research is focusing on economic issues of enterprises, budgetary and financial institutions. Our efforts have been made for the betterment of our educational work to strengthen its professionalism, therefore one may see the dominance of practice-oriented, micro-economic topics in our research areas. In this work we utilize the experiences from external consulting services we provide to the corporate, insurance and bank sector. New direction in our research has been given by the financial-economic crisis challenging financing public finances, bank regulations and corporate liquidity management. The focus of the research therefore is placed on analyzing new tax policies, bank regulatory created by the crises as well as analyzing methodological issues.

Description, objectives and fields of researches of RC/RW: Among all business, enterprises are most directly exposed to changes in the economic environment. Primary and processed data consistent with the accounting methodology provide the largest amount of information for business management. Therefore it is very important that decisions made for reaching objectives must be substantiated and verifiable; developments adapting to environmental conditions have to be valid and relevant from the informatics point of view; and monitoring (control) and auditing has to be available for owners and authorities. The main objective of our research is to analyze and evaluate the relationships of the above mentioned areas.

Description, objectives and fields of researches of RC/RW: Significant differences can be observed among the economic performances of various territorial units both at global and local levels. Accordingly the analysis and understanding of diverse development trajectories and spatial socio-economic phenomena are in the center of regional economics. After the collapse of Eastern Block and bipolar world East Central Europe started to (re)integrate into the global and continental structures. This reintegration showed unique social, economic, political features, which differ from the Western European ones. The investigation of such spatial economic phenomena and evaluation of regional politics are the main fields of our research.

We do multidisciplinary research in the field of bio-statistics, energy-sector, adult education to reveal hidden information and relationships from databases.

Description, objectives and fields of researches of RC/RW: Analysis of the three pillars of sustainability i.e. environment, society and economy plays a central role in science in the 21th century. When it comes to researching the relationships between environment, society and region, work and employment, culture influencing land use, production and distribution of goods as well as being an independent resource, solidarity in society, social capital and networks are key factors in the interpretation of sustainability. Definitions of social participation have been filled with economic content creating a new research area of economic sciences which are closely related to sociology, environmental and spatial sciences.

- The development and evaluation of behavior change interventions based on social marketing principles;
- Regional and settlement marketing - marketing-oriented development and branding.
- Sustainable (green) marketing.
- Services marketing.
- Tourism marketing including modelling destination competitiveness & tourism product development.

We use the problem-oriented approach in our researches and provide the research community with access to up-to-date survey research services and a full range of survey design, data management, analytical and qualitative skills.
Our motivation stems from the desire to undertake research for the public good.
