Foreign students are entitled to take out a student card from the Registrar’s Office. You will be charged some fee of a small amount. Please bring passport size photos with you. The programme officer will give you a student status certificate, which will allow you to start the administrative procedure. You will be given assistance in all administrative affairs by someone from your host department, or by the advisor in the case of fee-paying students. A student card entitles the student to the same benefits as Hungarian students enjoy (e.g. reduced travel fare). You will probably want to buy a bus card (monthly coupon) which is valid for all bus and tram lines and This way you will have the chance to go freely all around the town.
