Course description:

The aim of course is: to orientate students in the conceptual apparatus of political culture as a political science concept; to explain the content and character of the term of political culture; to analyze the historical background to the political culture in Slovakia (experience with different types of establishment) – the set of traditions, customs and values of Slovak society in the context of Central and Eastern Europe.

The course has to present political culture of Slovakia in both – theoretical and practical terms. It has to create the basic framework of knowledge in the area of international and domestic policy of Slovakia linked to application ambitions in the policy making process.

By graduates are expected ability: understand the specifics of political culture in Slovakia; identify the relevant issues in the area of political culture in Slovakia; analyze the specific environment of political culture in Slovakia and in an international environment
