The international relations of the Department is very broad in the field of French scientific life, especially related to the issues of theory and practice of Minority Protection. Related to the same object is the Department connected to several programs of the Council of Europe as the Head of the Department was a delegated expert at some missions to Moldavia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan and an associate author of more foreign monographs. There is a permanent co-operation with the research centres of the Nancy University of France and with the International Review of Humanitarian Law in the Hague.
