TRAINEESHIPS/PLACEMENTS ABROAD

DURATION OF PROJECT:  1 June 2022 – 30 September 2023

RECOMMENDED TIME INTERVAL FOR PLACEMENTS:  1 Sept 2022 – 30 September 2023 (the placement can start at any time as agreed with the host company)

Mode of application: electronically, by filling in the online application form and attaching the required documents in scanned form. The application form (AF) can be printed before filling to be used as a draft. The AF can be reached by clicking on the link at the end of this call.

Who can apply:

  1. students who have full-time student status both at the time of applying and when doing the traineeship abroad. 
  2. students who have full-time student status at the time of applying, but will be recent graduates (degree holders after graduation) at the time of the traineeship

The 12-month rule per study cycle: number of months to be applied for: min. 2 – max. 12 months / study cycle. Multiple applications for studies and/or traineeships are allowed within the 12-month limit in the same study cycle.

Deadline of application: 31 May 2022 (the extension of the deadline will be communicated later if this is the case, and is expected to be continuous until withdrawal or the availability of the financial sources)

Decision-making procedures:

Applications are assessed and applicants are ranked in priority order by the Erasmus Committees of the faculties and the placement coordinators. Faculties pass their decisions to the Erasmus Office and the final decision (place of the traineeship, number of months, individual grant support) is made by the central Erasmus Assessment Committee. Applicants will be informed about the results by the Erasmus Office.

Erasmus+ traineeship priority areas:  developing digital skills.

The areas listed below are highlighted objectives of the traineeship:

digital marketing (e.g. social media management, web analytics); digital graphical, mechanical or architectural design; development of apps, software, scripts, or websites; installation, maintenance and management of IT systems and networks; cybersecurity; data analytics, mining and visualisation; programming and training of robots and artificial intelligence applications.

Expected time of the final decision in the 1st application round: 15 June 2022

If the number of applicants is low, the deadline will be extended and will be continuous until withdrawal or the availability of the financial sources. Applications will be evaluated in the order of submission. Applicants will be informed about the decision by the Erasmus Office.

“Green Erasmus”: If the student chooses the green travel form, he/she is entitled to a one-time travel allowance of € 50 and can receive a subsistence allowance for up to 4 additional travel days.

• Green travel is any form of travel that is not air travel.

• Green travel allowance can be awarded for travel between countries.

• Green travel support is also available if green travel is provided in one direction only.

• The travel form can be proved by the travelers with travel documents or, failing that (eg when traveling by car) with the attached criminal declaration.

• Proof of travel (travel tickets) must be kept by the student and handed over to the sending institution upon request.

Financing will be awarded for the period indicated in the letter of acceptance (or for a shorter period up to the 12-month limit if the student has already used the majority of months previously for studies/placements). The extension of the placement is possible depending on the actual budget and the 12-month rule. The Erasmus grant does not cover all expenses, students should be prepared for partial self-financing or looking for other sources.

Zero-grant status: if the number of applicants exceeds the limits of the available financial sources, applicants will be ranked in waiting lists, or they can be awarded Erasmus status without grant. In such cases, they will be self-financing Erasmus students.

Awarded Erasmus+ grant:

The grant will be awarded for full months, but will be recalculated when the participant makes a Grant Agreement with the university. The grant will be calculated for days and paid to the participant in 2 instalments:

SPECIAL TYPE OF TRAINEESHIP:  RECENT GRADUATE (after graduation) 

International students must apply and be awarded with the grant when they still have active student status. After the termination of the student status, applications are not accepted. All administrative arrangements (learning agreement for traineeships, grant contract, entry visa to host country, health, accident and liability insurance policies valid in the host country) must be made until the validity date of the residence permit in Hungary.

Mode of working: due to and depending on the pandemic, host companies will offer different types of work: onsite/physical exclusively, onsite/physical combined with online, or exclusively online.  Blended mobility means the combination of working in physical presence and online. The concrete mode of working must be declared in the Letter of Acceptance, however it is advised to clarify the details again before the start of the traineeship.

Scholarship is granted only for the physical part of the mobility.

Consequences of giving false information:

Submitting false data or documents in the application may lead to serious sanctions, even disqualification from the application round.

RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE APPLYING:

Both the application for the Erasmus grant and the arrangements with the host company require serious and thorough preparation. Students will face quite a big amount of administrative procedures. Please read and study all available information at the Erasmus homepage and keep permanent contact with the host company. The lack of information will make your preparation very hard.
