At a public ceremony of the Senate of the University of Miskolc, the graduating students of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences took their doctoral oaths and received their diplomas on 28 June. At the event, the Honorary Doctorate and PhD degrees, the University of Miskolc International Student Ambassador Award, the Szemere Memorial Medal and the University’s Student Government Awards were presented.
The University of Miskolc and ACÉLMAX Zrt. have opened up a new dimension in their long-standing cooperation. The partnership, which currently focuses primarily on educational development, will be expanded in the future to include new areas of research and innovation, as well as strengthening technology transfer.

On December 1, the University of Miskolc will pay tribute to the life and work of György Cziffra with a mini-festival. On this commemorative day, Petra Gubik and János Balázs will welcome audiences to the University Quarter in Miskolc with an extraordinary evening of music and prose.
The University of Miskolc celebrated its former students by awarding jubilee diplomas. At the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Engineering and the Faculty of Materials and Chemical Engineering, alumni who graduated 50, 60, 65, and 70 years ago received ruby, iron, diamond, and gold diplomas. This year, a graduate from 75 years ago was also honored with a granite diploma.
Young people can look forward to another huge party this year: Miskolc University Days is coming up, one of Hungary’s largest university festivals, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The organizers have put together one of the strongest lineups in recent years for 2025, and the event will take place at a completely renovated venue.
728 students graduated from the University of Miskolc in the mid-year program. Graduates will receive their diplomas at a formal senate ceremony on January 29 and 30. The ceremony can be viewed live on the university’s YouTube channel.
