LOGISTICS INSTITUTE INVOLVED IN JOINT DEVELOPMENT OF LOGISTICS LABS IN KYRGYZSTAN

2019. november 20.

The Institute of Logistics is part of an Erasmus+ project called Prodlog that involves ten institutions of higher education. The project began in 2017 to encourage developments in logistics for educational and research purposes in Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Four members of the Institute of Logistics (head of institute Dr. Péter Tamás, Prof. Béla Illés, and research associates Peter Veres and Szabolcs Szentesi) spent several days in early November at two major universities of Kyrgyzstan (KSTU, KNAU). During their time there two jointly developed laboratories were inaugurated and further agreements in the area of logistics were made with university leaders.

In addition, meetings were held with representatives of major logistics industry firms. The Kyrgyz partners are expected to visit the University of Miskolc in the spring of 2020 in order to strengthen their cooperation in the area of logistics.
