Hungary is a quite small but interesting country in the heart of Europe. Miskolc is a clear example of the European culture that differs from most other European countries.

When did you start your studies here and why did you choose the University of Miskolc?

I came to the University of Miskolc in 2018 to pursue master's studies in Earth Sciences Engineering in the frame of the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme, funded by the Hungarian Government and managed by the Tempus Public Foundation, as the University of Miskolc is the only higher education institution in Hungary that offers this study program. After graduation, in 2020, I had the opportunity to further develop my knowledge at the Mikoviny Sámuel Doctoral School of Earth Sciences with a personal cooperation agreement between an Oil and Gas company and me due to my excellent master's degree results.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years from now, I can see myself working in the Oil and Gas industry at the Development and Innovation team in Mexico or another country like Canada, Australia, or Norway.

What kind of career prospects does Miskolc offer to international students?
In a PhD student now, my focus is on academics and research.

Do you have any recommendations for future students?
Don't wait for things to happen, go after them! You are responsible for your own development. If something is not right, don't be afraid to move on!

What is your mission as a student ambassador?
Share my view about life at the university in an objective way so prospective students can make a decision.
