Favourite quotation:

“Never lose hope. Storms make people stronger and they never last forever.” – Roy T. Bennett

What inspired you to take on a leadership role in this chapter?

Having grown up in a small village in Kenya where access to education was extremely limited to a few who could afford, it leaves no doubt on my desire to change the dynamics of these material conditions. I envision a situation where my role turns the Kenyan youths’ dreams into reality and in so doing put a smile on their pretty faces. Studying at the University of Miskolc was one of the decisions that i never regret in my life. I am therefore confident that linking potential candidates to the university and guiding them through, not only presents them with an opportunity to study in one of the best Universities in the heart of Europe but also counts as my contribution to positively impact the Kenyan society and my community.

What are your most proud professional achievements so far?

Achieving my childhood dream, defying all the odds at stake and getting quality education in Hungary stands at the center of what I believe is my biggest achievement. Transitioning from the University to the corporate world and taking up decision making roles adds up to this list too.

Looking ahead, what are some goals or milestones you hope to achieve in the next phase of your career?

Well, who knows what the future holds? However, I continuously strive to improve myself in all areas be it in my career, education, physical appearance, emotional intelligence just to name a few. More often we sit and think of how the world can help us. I thought of flipping the coin and asked myself, “What can I do for the world?” I am now working on starting a charity organization in my community. This long term plan will help families get access to educational resources and change the perspective of their lives. At this point, I would like to reiterate on my best quote, “Never lose hope. Storms make people stronger and they never last forever” Roy T. Bennett. I desire to lift up people’s hope because if we believe, we can.
