The János Bolyai Research Scholarship, established to encourage and recognize outstanding research and development performance, has been awarded to four faculty members of the University of Miskolc.
The Bolyai Scholarship, as an academic grant, serves as a bridge between the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Academy’s doctors, and the new generation of young researchers. It plays a key role in providing predictability and planning security for young scholars in the critical period following the completion of their PhD, up until the launch of their independent research careers.
This year, a total of 750 applications were submitted for the scholarship. Based on the decision of the board of trustees, 155 applicants were awarded the grant — among them, four lecturers from the University of Miskolc:
