Dr. Emőke Kiss-Tóth, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Miskolc, was honored with the “Golden Shield for Health Visitors” Award for her outstanding contributions. She is the first recipient of this professional recognition, established this year.
The “Golden Shield for Health Visitors” Award was established in 2025 by the Hungarian Professional Association of Health Visitors to mark three anniversaries: the 110th anniversary of the founding of the health visitor profession, the 10th anniversary of the recognition of the Hungarian Health Visitor Service as a Hungarikum, and the 5th anniversary of the professional body’s establishment.
The prestigious award was presented for the first time to Dr. Emőke Kiss-Tóth, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Miskolc, in recognition of her achievements in the development of health sciences in higher education — particularly for establishing and advancing the health visitor training program in Miskolc.
