At the 45th National Conference of Teachers of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics (MAFIOK), held between 25-27 June at the Károly Róbert Campus of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences in Gyöngyös, the University of Miskolc’s lecturer, Dr Szilágyi Szilvia Lengyelné, received the medal of honour, which means that the University of Miskolc will host the event in 2026.
The MAFIOK events, which return to the Egyetemváros after thirteen years, are organised jointly by the four institutes of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics.
The primary objective of the National Conference of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics Teachers is to promote the exchange of experience between teachers and researchers from higher education institutions on modern and effective teaching and scientific achievements in mathematics, physics, informatics and logistics through lectures, presentations and face-to-face meetings. Build contacts with Hungarian colleagues and Hungarian-speaking teachers from neighbouring countries. The event will also provide a forum to showcase the achievements of PhD students.
