2025. November 10.

NKKP 2025 is a priority national program supporting excellence in domestic research, which, following the European Research Council’s application logic, provides funding for the most talented researchers in four subprograms: Starting, Advanced, Highlight, and Excellence. A total of 309 research projects nationwide have received funding under the program, with the aim of strengthening Hungarian scientific performance and international competitiveness.

All three technical faculties of the University of Miskolc – the Faculty of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering (AVK), the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology (GÉIK), and the Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences (MFK) – are represented among the supported projects.

The researchers and their topics:

  • Sisodia Raghawendra Pratap Singh (GÉIK) – Physical modeling and weldability of low-density aluminum-alloyed medium-manganese automotive steels
  • Szabó Norbert Péter (MFK) – Investigation of the pressure dependence and hysteresis of rock physics quantities for a more accurate and reliable understanding of the characteristics of storage rocks
  • Szilágyi Imre Miklós (AVK) – Future challenges for applied nanofluids
