The Board of Trustees of the Universitas Miskolcinensis Foundation unanimously recommended Prof. Dr. Zita Horváth, the current Rector of the University, as the next head of the institution.
The resolution confirming the decision of the Senate of the University of Miskolc will be submitted to the Minister of Higher Education of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, and the final decision on the appointment will be made by the President of the Republic.
The new Rector will be appointed for a five-year term of office from 1 February 2026.
