When did you start your studies and why did you choose the University of Miskolc?
I started my studies in 2024. The reason I choose the University of Miskolc is because of its supportive international environment and great international community, affordable quality education, and strong nursing program that combines theory with hands-on experience.
What was your first impression when you arrived in Hungary? Did you notice any cultural differences?
My first impression of Hungary was that it’s peaceful. I noticed some cultural differences, like the language barrier, food, dressing, lifestyle, and how people tend to be more reserved at first. But with time I found them very helpful and kind once you get to know them.
What are/were your biggest challenges during your studies and how did you overcome these challenges?
One of my biggest challenges was adapting to a new academic system and studying in a foreign environment. I overcame this by staying organized, seeking help from lecturers and classmates, and actively participating in study groups and international student communities.
In your opinion, what makes the University of Miskolc stand out among other Hungarian universities?
The University of Miskolc stands out for its supportive international community, all-in-one campus, hands-on learning approach, and peaceful environment that’s perfect for focused study. It also offers great opportunities for student involvement and personal growth.
What do you like the most about campus life at the University of Miskolc?
I love the peaceful green campus, the sense of community among students, and the variety of events that bring people together. It feels like a small city where you can study, relax, and make great friends all in one place.
What kinds of activities, programmes or student organizations have you taken part in during your studies at the university?
I took part both in academic, social, and voluntary activities like International Dinner, International Cultural Day, Scientific Students’ competition, Farewell Reception, University Fighting World Hunger, ISSRR, etcetera.
What are the places and activities that an international student should definitely visit or try in Miskolc?
International students should visit the Miskolctapolca Cave Bath, explore Lillafüred, and check out Diósgyőr Castle. Joining university events and student groups is also a great way to connect and enjoy life in Miskolc
Do you and other students from your country (or similar cultural background) keep any of your traditions while living in Miskolc? If yes, can you give an example?
Yes. Welcoming of new students and Farewell get together for graduating students.
What skills and benefits have you already gained from studying at the University of Miskolc?
I have gained strong practical and theoretical nursing skills, improved time management, and enhanced communication through teamwork. Being an international student representative has also helped me develop leadership, public speaking, and networking skills, boosting my confidence and adaptability in a multicultural environment.

How do you think your degree of the University of Miskolc will help you in your life and career?
My degree from the University of Miskolc, will equip me with essential nursing skills and international experience, helping me build a successful career and make a positive impact in healthcare.
What is the most important thing or advice you would recommend to active/future students of the University of Miskolc?
Stay focus, stay curious, get involved in student groups, and don’t hesitate to ask for help. Building connections and staying proactive will make your time at the University of Miskolc much more rewarding
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it to help active/future students of the University of Miskolc?
I would choose supernatural intelligence. The ability to instantly understand and solve any problem. I would use it to tutor fellow students, simplify tough concepts, and create smarter ways to study.
