The Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences at the University of Miskolc has signed a cooperation agreement covering the fields of geothermal research and industrial deep drilling with Rotaqua Kft., a leading state-owned player in the Hungarian deep drilling industry and geothermal research.
The Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences trains specialists in the fields of raw material research, extraction and processing, as well as environmental and water management at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. It also offers specialist engineering and continuing education programs tailored to the needs of industry. As part of the cooperation agreement with Rotaqua Kft., students of the faculty will have the opportunity to participate in the company’s internship program and gain real work experience in the form of cooperative training.
The aim of the agreement is for the university and the company to work together in close partnership in the future:
the university will support joint innovation and research and development activities with its professional and scientific expertise, and will contribute to securing the next generation of professionals for the industry by organizing targeted professional training courses.
The document establishing long-term professional relations was signed by Prof. Dr. Péter Szűcs, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Science at the University of Miskolc, and Tamás Csécsei, Managing Director of the company. The faculty coordinator for the collaboration is Prof. Dr. Gábor Mucsi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Earth and Environmental Sciences.
