The University of Miskolc and ACÉLMAX Zrt. have opened up a new dimension in their long-standing cooperation. The partnership, which currently focuses primarily on educational development, will be expanded in the future to include new areas of research and innovation, as well as strengthening technology transfer.
The Moveo Technology Park, established by ACÉLMAX Zrt. for research, development, and training programs carried out in collaboration with the university, will provide an integrated development environment in the future. The Association of Science and Technology Innovation Parks is actively contributing to the creation of this environment and to strengthening cooperation between the university and the company.
Prior to the ceremonial signing of the agreement, Prof. Dr. Péter Szűcs, Vice-Rector of the University of Miskolc, spoke about how important the partnership is for the university, as the institution’s research results and educational activities can only be future-proof if it is in constant contact with and receives feedback from companies and institutions operating in the competitive market.
Anikó Ászia Bősze, CEO of ACÉLMAX Zrt., emphasized that the development of the Moveo Technology Park in Sajókeresztúr symbolizes how the region’s industrial past can be used to build the innovation center of the future.
I am convinced that the key to our success lies in connecting industry players with the knowledge base of the university. By supporting each other, we can increase the competitiveness and job creation capacity of businesses, and we hope to do so while keeping young engineers and researchers in the area,
said the CEO.
Norbert Mórucz, president of the Association of Science and Technology Parks, pointed out that MOVEO is the 30th technology park developed by the association:
This park is the fourth generation of technology parks, which starts with the rehabilitation of brownfield industrial areas and will create a high-tech, innovative environment.
Mórucz also added that the University of Miskolc is one of the most active partners in cooperation with technology parks—this is the sixth park with which the institution is cooperating.
