Rövid projekt összefoglaló

The Master’s programme Advanced Materials: Innovative Recycling (AMIR) was created to meet Europe’s dire need for secondary critical raw materials supply in the ongoing transition to a low carbon and circular economy. Industry needs to move in direction of lower emissions, reduced waste and overall greater resource efficiency. AMIR meets those needs by creating new talent in advanced materials’ innovation and recycling for a circular economy.
The two-year curriculum incorporates innovation and entrepreneurship skills to give learners the ability to take the initiative themselves to develop sustainable ways to use and reuse materials throughout the value chain. This innovation and recycling for a circular economy focus makes AMIR unique compared to competing programmes in this domain. AMIR’s added value lies in combining disciplines and building intersectoral networks in advanced materials and innovative recycling.

Graduates go out into the world with knowledge in:

  • Materials science and engineering
  • Recycling technologies
  • Circular economy
  • Innovation and entrepreneurship
  • Environmental sustainability assessments

The AMIR-CE project for two cohorts (2024-2026 and 2025-2027) provides students with a combination of unique experiences:

  • Higher education courses from two EIT partner universities
  • A six-month internship with an RTO, industrial or academic partner
  • Entrepreneurial experiences by participating to dedicated training and coaching sessions
