Short description

The Dangerous Goods Logistics Engineering postgraduate specialization programme provides advanced knowledge in the safe, regulation-compliant and efficient management of dangerous goods within logistics systems. The programme integrates logistics system design, transport regulations, optimisation, simulation, risk management, intelligent solutions and hazardous waste logistics. Special emphasis is placed on international regulatory frameworks (ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG, IATA), sustainability and digital technologies. The training concludes with a thesis and a comprehensive final examination.

Entrance examination

Admission is based on the evaluation of academic background and, if required, a short professional interview (approximately 20–30 minutes) assessing motivation, basic logistics knowledge and professional experience.

  • Describe the main functions of logistics within a supply chain.
  • What factors should be considered when planning the transport of goods?
  • Explain why safety and regulatory compliance are essential in logistics operations.
  • Describe a logistics-related professional challenge you have encountered.

  • Performance during the professional interview (max. 40%)

The final decision is made by the admission committee based on the overall evaluation.

Career prospects

The qualification provides a solid professional foundation in the field of hazardous materials logistics and may represent a valuable competitive advantage in the labour market.
