Several lecturers and researchers from the University of Miskolc participated in a prestigious international scientific conference in the spring. The “EXPRES 2025 – International Symposium on Exploitation of Renewable Energy Sources and Efficiency” was hosted by the iconic Art Nouveau City Hall of Subotica, providing a fitting venue for high-quality professional presentations and international networking.
Staff members of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics (Krisztián Hriczó, Viktória Kállai, L. Gábor Szepesi, and Levente Tugyi) delivered presentations on current research topics related to the analysis of thermal systems, industrial safety, and engineering process modeling. The faculty dean, Prof. Dr. Zoltán Siménfalvi, also participated in the conference, further strengthening the University of Miskolc’s international professional presence.
The staff of the Community Service Office (KÖSZI ME) contributed to the professional program with two presentations. Orchidea Juhász explored how board games can become tools for the conscious development of soft skills and how they can support the comprehensive preparation of future professionals. In her presentation, Anetta Ádám demonstrated how the “Tanítsunk Magyarországért!” mentoring program can help engineering students develop their workplace competencies.
The conference was marked by warm hospitality, excellent organization, and enriching accompanying programs, all of which contributed to making EXPRESS 2025 a memorable event. Participation provided an opportunity to showcase the University of Miskolc’s innovative educational and research directions and also helped to establish new international connections.
