Miskolc researchers ranked #2 in the world rankings

The internationally recognized database (Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators), updated annually by John P. A. Ioannidis and his colleagues, is one of the most widely cited and used measures of research performance.

Based on the August 2025 update of the database, researchers affiliated with the University of Miskolc are listed in two categories.

In the Career category, which measures the impact of the entire scientific oeuvre to date, i.e., the citations of all publications and related indicators projected over the researcher’s entire career, showing long-term scientific activity:

• Gábor Mucsi, university professor, dean of MFK
• Károly Jármai, university professor, Institute of Energy and Chemical Engineering
• Tamás Kékesi, university professor, Institute of Metal Production and Casting

In the Singleyr category, which reflects publication and citation performance, activity, and visible research performance for a given year, in this case 2024:
