Three researchers affiliated with the University of Miskolc have won grants in this year’s National Research Excellence Program (NKKP) competition. Their projects demonstrate the high quality of research conducted at the university and the growing cooperation between young and experienced researchers in national research excellence programs.
NKKP 2025 is a priority national program supporting excellence in domestic research, which, following the European Research Council’s application logic, provides funding for the most talented researchers in four subprograms: Starting, Advanced, Highlight, and Excellence. A total of 309 research projects nationwide have received funding under the program, with the aim of strengthening Hungarian scientific performance and international competitiveness.
All three technical faculties of the University of Miskolc – the Faculty of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering (AVK), the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology (GÉIK), and the Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences (MFK) – are represented among the supported projects.
