In collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center, the King Sejong Institute at the University of Miskolc is hosting a South Korea Day. The event showcases the country through music, cuisine, and traditional performances.
The star guest of Korean Day in Miskolc is the world-famous MayTree, a South Korean a cappella group that builds entire musical worlds using only their voices and has gained global recognition for its creative videos. The traditional arts will be represented by the Kkokdu-gwangdae troupe with its spectacular masked dance performance, which blends folk tradition with an interactive community experience. As part of the culinary program, Kim Taeyeon, the global kimchi ambassador, will demonstrate how fermented cuisine can meet the flavors of the Hungarian summer—through reimagined kimchi variations made with seasonal ingredients.
Highlights of the event:
Admission is free, but advance registration is required due to limited seating.
