The University of Miskolc is inviting its European partners in research, education, and innovation to a two-day meeting at the end of September. The event, titled “Reconnecting with the EU: Matchmaking and Networking Partner Meeting,” aims to breathe new life into past collaborations, strengthen existing partnerships through in-person meetings, and explore new avenues for joint research, innovation, and project development.
The event is of particular significance because the University of Miskolc is expected to once again have full access to the European Union’s 2021–2027 research and innovation funding opportunities. This opens an important window of opportunity in the coming months for the University of Miskolc and its international partners to develop high-impact, competitive grant proposals, with a particular focus on strong consortia involving Hungarian participation. The meeting also serves to lay the groundwork for joint project ideas, thematic collaborations, and the preparation of future grant proposals.
During the two-day program scheduled for September 28 and 29, 2026, participants will have the opportunity to present their ongoing and planned research, explore opportunities for collaboration, and develop joint project ideas through thematic workshops and networking sessions.
The meeting will focus, among other things, on Horizon Europe, the V4 / Visegrad Fund, EIT Raw Materials, and other European research and innovation programs.
Expected topics for the thematic sessions include energy, sustainability, digitalization, regional development and the innovation ecosystem, as well as education, mobility, and capacity building.
Participation in the event is free of charge, but advance registration is required!
